Noel Grummitt BE, GDURP. (Principal)
As a qualified town planner and civil engineer, Noel has 35 years planning and development experience in South East Queensland. Prior to founding Grummitt Planning in 1997 Noel spent 7 years as town planning manager for Weathered Howe Gold Coast, preparing concept development plans for tourist projects in Australia, Malaysia and Taiwan. He has also worked as a senior engineer for the Connell Group and a design engineer for Bornhorst & Word, WJ Reinhold & Partners and Brisbane City Council. Noel's particular areas of expertise include land use planning, site analysis, development applications, development of regulatory provisions for small lot housing and expert witness in the Planning and Environment Court. Noel has recently undertaken studies with training organisation, Red R, to qualify as a provider of expertise in disaster and relief situations.
Julie Cary MSc, EP, MRTPI. (Senior Planner)
Is a highly experienced and talented town planner having worked for 18 years at Fylde Borough Council in Lytham St Anne's Lancashire, England attaining the position of Principal Planning Officer. She left in 2005 to establish her own planning consultancy JC Planning where she has represented local authority and developer clients and also been involved in planning court matters.
Lorie Shields (Senior Planner)
Those of you who knew Lorie will have been saddened by her sudden illness while holidaying with family in NZ. She is still in a coma but now in the Gold Coast Hospital. We know her husband Steve and little daughter Kalista would value your prayers for a good and full recovery.
Novita Yamin BRegUrbPlan. (Town Planner)
Novita has completed her studies at Queensland University of Technology graduating with a Bachelor of Urban Development (Urban & Regional Planning) with minors in Applications and Business Management. She joined the team at Grummitt Planning Pty Ltd in early 2008 and works closely with her experienced co-workers to gain first hand understanding of the development industry. Novita has brought the firm a broad range of skills that include urban design, site analysis, preparing development assessment reports and graphic skills. She has a passionate interest in urban development and aspires to advance her knowledge and skills.
