"Not the News!"
Contrary to popular (???) media, Grummitt Planning has not deserted the Gold Coast (nor do Margaret and Noel's dinnertime conversations consist of arguments over PIP, although it does arise as we discuss the wide range of options for Council to assist in generating economic activity and employment in our City). |
|
Grummitt Planning is still at 145 Scarborough Street with the same staff and same commitment to our loyal clientele and consultant colleagues and with every intent of that continuing.
As most of you are aware, we opened a new office in Ipswich in July to service the needs of existing and future clients in the urban growth areas of Ipswich, Lockyer, Scenic Rim, Somerset and Toowoomba by connecting better with the local Councils in those areas. It is our intent to employ an Ipswichian as our local town planner within the next 3-6 months as workload permits, to ensure that connection to the local community and councils is facilitated.
The new office enables us to provide closer relationships with the local and state authorities in the area which will assist in getting better and faster outcomes for our clients. |

Our desire is that this growth step will enable us to better service our current clients as they too seek to grow their businesses in the growth opportunity areas of South-East Queensland.

August 2010
We are well into the new financial year and it has brought to fruition two landmark events for Grummitt Planning that have both been some time in the making. July 28 2010 marked the official opening of the Grummitt Planning office in Ipswich by His Worship the Mayor, Cr Paul Pisasale.
In his speech the mayor welcomed the company to Ipswich and to its community, adding to its stock of expertise to service the growth needs of the city and those of the surrounding areas. The Chair of the City's Planning Committee, Cr Paul Tully, City Planner, Mr John Adams, and representatives of the City's Economic Development and media branches joined staff and other guests in enjoying hors d'oeuvres provided by our highly recommended neighbour - Fentons - with whom we share the Boulevarde Business Centre at 17 Limestone Street. The food and staff are the equal of anywhere. Well done Fenton, you run a great restaurant.
We look forward to being able to better service our existing and future clients in Ipswich and the growth regions of Somerset, Lockyer, Scenic Rim and Toowoomba from this new facility.
July also marked the registration of our chosen charity in Cambodia, Cambodian Hope Organisation, as a Worthy Cause within the Buy1Give1 organisation. This provides a facility for businesses to donate funds to worthy causes around the world as they transact their business. In our instance we contribute $25 for every new job which enables a young person to undertake trade training for one month, to establish themselves in a business and escape the poverty and exploitation so rife in Cambodia. (See PROJECT LIST ). We have been working with CHO for almost 18 months to link them into this worldwide network of philanthropic activity.
If we can assist you - either through our initial office at Southport or new premises at Ipswich, please do not hesitate to get in touch, either by telephone or through our interactive website.
We continue to receive compliments on our website and are proud of its ability to inform our clients as well as to permit them to interact with us.
We wish you a positive New Financial Year and trust that the uncertainties of our financial and governmental environments will not frustrate your plans for growth and development.
